What is the Process to Get Your Indian Documents Translated into Arabic?

You can get your Indian documents translated into Arabic by following a few simple steps.
Step1: Document Gathering
Start by collecting all the documents you want to translate into Arabic. If your documents are not yet attested, also keep any supporting documents ready. You’ll need them during the document legalization process.
This step may be omitted if your documents are attested. If not then you have to take a few steps. This is typically initiated with notarization, then state verification such as SDM/Home Department for personal documents and HRD/SDM for educational documents or Chamber of Commerce for commercial documents. Then, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) verifies these documents and they are attested by an Arabic embassy.
Once attestation is complete, the documents are given to a certified Arabic translator. They translate your documents as per legal standards so they are accepted in Arabic-speaking countries.

Fees & Time Required for Arabic Translation

Embassy Attestation + Translation: Normally, if both embassy attestation and Arabic translation are required for your documents, the cost ranges anywhere between 7000 to 8500 INR per document, and the timeline is 8 to 15 days.

Only Arabic Translation: If your documents are attested and you only require Arabic translation, then the cost may vary between 1000 and 1500 INR per document. Usually, this translation takes 2 to 4 working days

FAQ

These are some commonly asked questions regarding the Arabic Translation. You can contact our team for unique questions.

1. Do I need an attestation or an apostille for Arabic translation?

It depends on the country where you are submitting your documents. If the country is part of the Hague Convention, an apostille from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is usually enough. If not, you will need embassy attestation in India. In some cases, even Hague Convention countries may still ask for additional attestation based on their requirements.
For a Saudi Work Visa, the translation must be done by an agency empanelled with the Saudi Embassy in New Delhi. But if you are already in Saudi and need to translate your Iqama (residency) or your driving license, the translation office should be MOJ certified (Ministry of Justice- Saudi).
As of 2026, many Gulf countries (specifically the UAE and Saudi Arabia) apply a rule whereby documents attested more than 10 years are deemed “stale. Even if your Arabic translation is fresh, if the underlying MEA stamp is over a decade old, you must re-verify the document
While India also issues e-Apostilles, many Gulf embassies still demand a physical ‘Wet-ink’ stamp. When getting your Arabic translation in India, ensure the agency provides a hard copy with physical seals. Digital-only translations (PDFs without physical stamps) are currently not accepted by many Arabic countries for visa processing.
