Master Data Attestation Procedure

Master Data attestation falls under the commercial document verification category, meaning, there will be only 3 stages of verification in the process.
Step1: Chamber of Commerce Attestation.

No notarization is needed. You have to directly visit the Chamber of Commerce (CoC) in your region and submit your company’s master data for verification.

After verification by the CoC, take the Master data to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) for national-level validation. MEA will cross-check the data and put their stamp on after successful verification.
At last, submit your MEA-stamped master data to the embassy of your desired country (where you want to do business activity). They will do a thorough verification and put their attestation stamp. After your company’s master data gets attested, it can be used in the host country for business operations.

Fees & Time Required for Getting Master Data Attested in India

The cost of master data attestation is 4000 to 8000 INR and it takes 5 to 6 working days for the whole process — but the timeline will be affected by a few factors such as:
1

Embassy:

Different embassies follow their own process and have different requirements.
2

High Volume:

If there are a large number of applications simultaneously at any authority (CoC, MEA, Embassy) then the process will be delayed.
3

Policy Updates:

If the Indian or destination country’s foreign policy changes, the process will be impacted.
4

Missing Documents:

If any incomplete or incorrect information is submitted, then it will result in the rejection of your application.
